At each Internet Marketing training session we run, we get asked the same question – why do you employ copywriters?  Well, we’re going to answer this question once and for all with this blog post.

Copywriting is Key

As you’ll find out if you attend our Internet Marketing training, LeadGenerators differs from many other Online Marketing Agencies, as rather than employ SEO geeks, we opt for a team of copywriters who happily write away each and every day.  The reason behind this?  Well, anyone who knows anything about Online Marketing, knows that there are two audiences out there – the search engines of course, but also the potential customer.

So yes, whilst an SEO copywriter must be able to insert keywords into as many places as possible so that a search engine can tell what the page is about, they must also be able to do this in a way which reads well to a site visitor.  After all, nobody wants to read some “key-phrase enriched” text which is full of “key-phrase enriched” phrases to make the web page “key-phrase enriched”….

Variety is the Spice of Life

So an SEO copywriter must be able to use key phrases within their writing, but they must also have good imagination.  After all, say you came away from an Internet Marketing training day wanting to implement the full works where your online campaigns are concerned, you would need everything from site copy and webPR’s, to Viral Links Articles and regular blog posts.  That’s a lot of content!  And of course, the tone and subject will differ according to client, medium and target market.  Your copywriters will need to be adaptable, so that they can write varied content to cover all areas.

The LeadGenerators Writing A-Team

So who are the LeadGenerators Writing A-Team I hear you ask.  Well, according to I write like, for one of our clients we’re Charles Dickens, Dan Brown and Terry Pratchett, however, for another we’re David Foster Wallace, Isaac Asimov and Bram Stoker.  And finally, when writing for our own LeadGenerators projects, we are by all accounts Margaret Atwood, Margaret Mitchell and William Gibson.

So, hopefully this has answered the most commonly asked question of our Internet Marketing training days, and also given you some insight into why copywriting really is crucial to successful Online Marketing campaigns.
