Setting up emails
For this you will need your sitename (normally your domain or your company) and your hosting username and password
New Mailboxes
Creating new mailboxes can be done via our hosting admin with your username and password http://www.lghosting.co.uk
Please can you login, click on email and then mailboxes. Create a mailbox with a password for each user you have. Then each person in the office is going to need to setup their new email account.
Mailbox settings:
Type: Pop3
Username: sitename-emailaccount
Password: ********
email: emailaccount@domain.com
incoming server (pop3): mail.lghosting.co.uk
outgoing server (smtp): mail.lghosting.co.uk
Outgoing emails must use SMTP secure authentification.
Problems
We do not anticipate any problems however we have a couple of suggestions
should the unlikely events occur.
Q: I cannot receive emails
A: Check your pop account setting.
pop server: mail.lghosting.co.uk
username: your full email address
password: your same password as on the old system
Q: I cannot send emails
A: Check your SMTP account setting.
SMTP server: mail.lghosting.co.uk
sending using secure authentification must be enabled.
Q: Outlook is giving me problems. Can I check the server directly.
A: Yes. We suggest using mail2web to access your mailbox from the web.
Go to mail2web.com and click advanced.

server: mail.lghosting.co.uk your username and password are what Jill
has setup.
Q: I keep being asked for a network username and password.
A: This is a outlook bug. Do not enter your email username and password it
will not help.
Delete the emial account in question and remove all emails from your outbox.
Press send and recieve to check all is well
Then setup your email account again using the settings from above
(remembering to check that outgoing emails must use SMTP secure
authentification.. |
