Let’s look at how the system works for the customer and for the merchant.
How LG Vault works for the Customer:
- The customer is on your checkout page with the item(s) they wants to buy.
- The customer is taken to a dedicated secure server to fill out his credit card details.
- The customer completes their details and is given a thank you.
- LG Vault sends notification to the customer that the order has been made.
How LG Vault works for the Merchant:
- The merchant received an email notification that an order has been made from the website.
- The merchant logs in to LG Vault Admin and downloads the full transaction details, including credit card details.
- The merchant then processes the transaction through the office offline PDQ machine.
- Once the transaction has been completed, the merchant can delete the record from the system.
Payment failure:
In the event that a card fails (for example if a card has just gone over its credit limit) then you will need to contact the customer. Our existing LG Vault clients have told us that over 90% of card failures still result in a sale if telephoned promptly.
The major considerations are that the customer has committed to the sale and has already given you their personal and card details. Once contacted the client is happy to smooth out any problems and has themselves been embarrassed by the payment failure. |
