Why We Train & Teach What We Know
We have made it our personal mission to educate the many fantastic marketing managers that we meet, and to show them that online marketing is a marketing function, not a technical function - and put them back in the driving seat of online marketing, where they belong.
Long live the marketing manager!
Over our many years of specialising in online marketing we have encountered far too many good marketing managers, whose marketing minds almost literally turn to porridge when it comes to online marketing.
Unfortunately they are still under the impression that online marketing is complicated and that it should be managed and dictated by techies. This is unfortunately still a very common misconception.
Online marketing is not complicated. Even we can do it!
We liken it very much to driving a car. While mechanics are valuable when it comes to ensuring that the breaks, the clutch and the steering wheel work, when it comes to being a good driver, we don't need to know what it happening under the bonnet. We never ask mechanics where we should drive our cars, what route we should take and how fast we should get there. This is the realm of the driver and, when it comes to online marketing, the marketing manager should be firmly placed in the driver's seat.
For this reason we have developed a seminar and training program that covers the basic philosophy of online marketing in the overall marketing mix, the elements of keyword research as the building block of all online marketing decisions, the principles of search marketing (both PPC and SEO) as generators of quality traffic, elements of how search engines view and rank web pages and how to use this to achive better search engine optimization results, graphic design & copywriting for web and how this can be used to improve user experience and to improve site conversion rates, the principles of email marketing and an introduction to the world of Social Media as a growing source of online traffic and a new source of business.
3 Different Training Programs
We carry out tree types of training sessions for our clients.
Association Seminars: These are catered to the membership of trade associations. While we are flexible regarding the arrangements, usually the association arranges the venue and a light lunch and invites its members to attend.
Corporate Training Days: Many businesses and corporations have their own internal marketing departments that are increasing getting involved in various online marketing activities. Our bespoke training days are ideal to train staff in subjects such as keyword research (the backbone of most online marketing decisions), pay per click management, search engine optimization strategies, key phrase enriching content for search engines, landing page development, site conversion best practices, blog writing and other social media engagement. As expected, we will tailor make our training program to suit the need of each client.
Small Group Seminars:
Every few months we carry out a one day seminar on online marketing for a small group of businesses. These are usually for groups of up to 10 businesses and are held as a round table forum. We cover a range of concepts and programs that will help businesses get a better understanding of online marketing and how to get the most out of it.
